2022 - 2026 Financial Plan

ACRD Five-Year Financial Plan

The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) Board of Directors is required to adopt, by bylaw, a five-year financial plan by March 31 of each year, as per Section 374 of the Local Government Act.

The Process

The draft 2022 to 2026 ACRD five-year financial plan has been developed by staff. Part of this process includes various budget deliberation meetings with ACRD Committees and the Board of Directors between January and March of 2022.

All of these meetings are open to the public. There are several ways for the public to participate in ACRD meetings as defined below.

    All ACRD open Board and Committee meetings are currently being held in person in the ACRD Board Room or via Zoom Webinar.

    There are several ways for the public to participate in ACRD Board and Committee meetings:

    • Watch Board & Committee Meetings Live
      • All ACRD open Board and Committee meetings are recorded and livestreamed to YouTube on the ACRD Website. To watch a meeting live:
        1. Go to the ACRD homepage
        2. View the calendar on the upper left hand corner of the homepage
        3. Click on the date of the meeting you wish you watch
        4. You will be directed to the meeting page (a copy of the meeting agenda is available for viewing on this page by clicking on the PDF link)
        5. Click on the YouTube link to watch the meeting live
    • Register to participate in a Board/Committee Meeting via Zoom Webinar
      1. Go to the ACRD homepage
      2. View the calendar on the upper left hand corner of the homepage
      3. Click on the date of the meeting you wish to participate in
      4. You will be directed to the meeting page (a copy of the meeting agenda is available for viewing on this page by clicking on the PDF link)
      5. Click on the link "Register to Participate"
    • Apply to appear as a Delegation
      • To speak to the ACRD Board or a Committee you can apply to appear as a delegation. Delegations are given 10 minutes at the beginning of the meeting to present an issue or topic. To apply, email the Corporate Officer at wthomson@acrd.bc.ca or call 250-720-2706.
    • Providing Questions/Comments on an ACRD Board or Committee Agenda Item
      • can be emailed to responses@acrd.bc.ca. Any questions/comments received to this email address are read out by the Corporate Officer at the respective meeting.
      • If appearing in person at the ACRD Boardroom, masks & social distancing are required.
