Sproat Lake and Bamfield both have Parks Commissions made up of local residents who aid the service delivery of the Sproat Lake and Bamfield Community Parks, such as:

  • Community parkland acquisition opportunities
  • Trail and park development
  • Environmental enhancement

    ACRD opens second application period for Regional Parks Working Group Members

    The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) has open space and is seeking community-oriented individuals and representatives of formal user groups to join the Regional Parks Working Group (RPWG). The RPWG has been established to guide, advise, and support the development, management, and promotion of regional parks within the ACRD. Current Regional Parks include: the West Coast Multiuse Pathway, the Log Train Trail, the Alberni Inlet Trail, China Creek Regional Park, and Mount Arrowsmith Regional Park.

    As a member of the RPWG, you or your community group will have the opportunity to provide guidance on park priorities, park and trail planning, new park development and upgrades, parkland acquisition opportunities, and park budgets.

    If you are interested in applying for the ACRD RPWG, please fill out this RPWG members application form and return to Michael McGregor, Lands and Resources Coordinator, by 4 pm on Monday, March 31, 2025.
