Singe lane on Highway 4

Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting crews will be installing a roadside barrier along Highway 4 in the eastbound slow lane at Sproat Landing, as well as eastbound near the summit (the Hump) in Port Alberni on Tuesday, December 3 at 8 am to 4 pm (one day).

Drivers can expect a single lane alternating traffic pattern.

Road base repair and resurfacing on Highway 4 near Kennedy Hill

Please be advised that Mainroad crews will be carrying out essential road repairs and resurfacing on Highway 4, approximately two kilometres east of Kennedy Hill. Single lane alternating will be in effect 24 hours a day and seven days a week until the job is complete.

When: Monday, September 9 to Friday, November 1, 2024
Time: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Drivers are reminded to obey signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers. Please show respect for all roadside crews – slow down.
