Accessibility in the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District & City of Port Alberni
The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District and City of Port Alberni has completed the process of developing Accessibility Plans, and the ACRD Board of Directors adopted the Alberni-Clayoquot Region Accessibility Plan on June 26, 2024. The Accessibility Plans will guide both local governments on identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to individuals in or interacting with our organizations.
The Accessibility Plans were developed with the support and input of an Accessibility Committee and considered the principles of inclusion, adaptability, diversity, collaboration, self-determination, and universal design.

Accessibility Feedback Form
The ACRD and the City of Port Alberni want to know the specific barriers that people with disabilities face when trying to access programs, facilities, information, services, and/or support. Please use this form to either describe your experiences and their impact and make recommendations for improvement. You can also let us know about the things we are doing right that have the biggest impact on increasing accessibility. It all helps us be a more accessible region.Definitions
