Accessibility in the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District & City of Port Alberni

The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District and City of Port Alberni has completed the process of developing Accessibility Plans, and the ACRD Board of Directors adopted the Alberni-Clayoquot Region Accessibility Plan on June 26, 2024. The Accessibility Plans will guide both local governments on identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to individuals in or interacting with our organizations.

The Accessibility Plans were developed with the support and input of an Accessibility Committee and considered the principles of inclusion, adaptability, diversity, collaboration, self-determination, and universal design.
