North Island 911

The North Island 911 Corporation was established on January 5, 1995 to provide and manage emergency 911 services to Northern Vancouver Island. The Regional Districts of Alberni-Clayoquot, Comox Valley, Mount Waddington, a portion (School District No. 69) of the Nanaimo Regional District and Strathcona were the founding members. The Powell River Regional District (exluding Lasqueti Island) joined the service in 1999.
