Corporate Administration

Under the policies and directives of the Board of the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District, the Corporate Administration Department provides legislative and administrative services and support to the Board, its committees and the public.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and distributing Board and committee agendas
  • Ensuring accurate recording of the proceedings of the Board and its committees
  • Maintaining corporate and official records and information
  • Conveying decisions of the Board for action or information
  • Discretionary and Community Development grant administration
  • Preparing bylaws - service establishment, borrowing and regulatory
  • Conducting elections and other voting opportunities in the rural areas
  • Preparing contracts, leases and agreements
  • Managing the information and privacy program under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Ensuring that statutory obligations are met
  • Participating in special projects
  • Corporate communications
