A power interruption could last several days in some areas of the Alberni Valley. Such an event may occur as a result of severe storms, equipment failure or as part of a larger disaster. This Response Plan is designed to mitigate the effects of prolonged power failures that have led to disruption. BC Hydro is responsible for the restoration of power. The Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) can assist only indirectly. |
