The Coastal Ferry Act mandates a role for the Regional Districts in the nomination process for the Board of Directors of the BC Ferry Authority. The ACRD is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to the Board of the BC Ferry Authority for a three-year term commencing April 1, 2018. The ACRD, in collaboration with the Regional Districts of Comox, Strathcona, Powell River and Nanaimo, will be nominating individuals to the BC Ferry Authority to fill one position on the Board.

What is the BC Ferry Authority?

Who can apply?

A nominee must be a "qualified Authority Candidate" as defined in the Coastal Ferry Act, and must comply with provisions related to director qualifications and conflicts addressed in sections 8 and 9 of the Act.
